Question 1

How do I book a scooter on RideAway?

Accepted Answer

Download the RideAway app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Select your city, pick your dates and plan (daily, weekly, 15-day, or monthly), complete DigiLocker KYC, pay via Razorpay, and pick up from the hub or request doorstep delivery where available. The whole process takes under 10 minutes.

Question 2

What plans are available and what do they cost?

Accepted Answer

We offer daily (from Rs. 450/day), weekly, 15-day, and monthly (from Rs. 4,500/month) plans. Each bike also has Basic, Plus, and Pro km tiers. Final pricing varies by bike and city — check the app for exact rates.

Question 3

What documents do I need to ride?

Accepted Answer

Just your Aadhaar card and Driving Licence — both verified digitally through DigiLocker inside the app. No physical documents needed, no paperwork, no waiting.

Question 4

What is DigiLocker and why do we use it?

Accepted Answer

DigiLocker is a Government of India initiative that lets you store and share verified digital documents securely. We use DigiLocker for KYC to ensure every rider on our platform is genuinely verified.

Question 5

Is RideAway safe?

Accepted Answer

Every rider is DigiLocker KYC verified before their first booking. Bikes are document-checked before listing. You get pickup instructions, in-app support, and help with breakdowns during your ride.

Question 6

What is the daily kilometre limit?

Accepted Answer

Km limits depend on your plan tier (Basic, Plus, or Pro) and rental duration. Extra km is charged per bike policy — shown clearly in the app before you book.

Question 7

Can I get the bike delivered to my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in supported cities you can choose doorstep delivery at checkout. Delivery fees depend on distance from the pickup hub. You can also pick up from the hub directly.

Question 8

Can I extend my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. From your active booking in the app, you can request a +1 day or +1 week extension if the bike is available. Pricing is calculated automatically.

Question 9

What if the scooter breaks down during my ride?

Accepted Answer

Contact us through the app immediately and share your live location. For mechanical breakdowns not caused by rider misuse, we arrange towing support within city limits and aim to resolve or replace within 2-4 hours.

Question 10

Can I take the scooter outside the city?

Accepted Answer

Scooters are for within-city use by default. Outstation trips require prior written approval from RideAway.

Question 11

What happens if I get a traffic challan?

Accepted Answer

Challans received during your rental period are your responsibility. We will notify you via the app and the amount must be cleared within 7 days.

Question 12

How do I return the scooter?

Accepted Answer

Return the scooter to the designated pickup point at or before your agreed return time. Our team inspects the vehicle with you at return. Early returns are welcome with no penalty.

Question 13

How do I become a host on RideAway?

Accepted Answer

Download the RideAway app and switch to Host Mode. Complete the guided onboarding: DigiLocker KYC, business details, bank or UPI payout account, add your vehicle with photos and pricing, upload RC/insurance/PUC, and sign the host agreement. Once approved, your listing goes live in Pune or Vadodara.

Question 14

How much can hosts earn?

Accepted Answer

Hosts keep up to 70% of every booking. Earnings depend on your city, vehicle type, and how often your bike is booked. Track pending, in-trip, and held amounts in your host dashboard.

Question 15

How do payouts work?

Accepted Answer

Payouts are processed on a weekly or monthly schedule directly to your registered bank account or UPI. View your earnings ledger, payout history, and next scheduled payout date in the Host Mode payouts tab.

Question 16

Are riders verified before they book my bike?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every rider on RideAway completes DigiLocker KYC — Aadhaar and driving licence verified — before they can make their first booking.

Question 17

What documents do hosts need?

Accepted Answer

DigiLocker KYC (Aadhaar + driving licence), vehicle RC, valid insurance, PUC certificate, and bank or UPI details for payouts. All uploads happen inside the app during onboarding.

Question 18

Can I manage my bike's availability?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the calendar in Host Mode to block dates when your bike is unavailable. You can also pause listings and update pricing anytime from the My Bikes tab.

Question 19

How do handovers work?

Accepted Answer

When a booking starts, you'll see it in today's handovers on your dashboard. Record pickup with photos and notes, contact the rider from the booking screen, and mark return when the trip ends.

Question 20

Can I use the same app as a rider and a host?

Accepted Answer
